How Do You Locate An Inmate:
At the Oklahoma County Detention Center you can locate an inmate over the telephone by calling the inmate receiving line at 405-713-1910 or by the online inmate search tool which can be found by clicking here.
Where Is The Jail Located:
The Oklahoma County Detention Center is located at 210 N. Shartel, Oklahoma City, OK 73102.
What Time Is The Jail Open:
The jail is open 24 hours, 7 days week.
When Are Visiting Hours:
Visitation days are everyday of the week.
Saturday and Sunday hours are between 2:30 PM-3:30 PM & 6:30 PM-7:30 PM.
For Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays visitation you will need to call to make a scheduled appointment.
You can telephone at 405-713-2015 between 8:00 AM-12:00 noon & from 1:00 PM-5:00 PM.
Visitations & Rules:
- Visits will need to be scheduled at least a week in advance.
- After two “no-show” visits per an inmate, visits will not prohibited for a 30 day period.
- A maximum of 24 adult visits will be scheduled per a visitation floor.
- There is also a maximum of adult visitors for each visitation session for the whole jail. The maximum number is 150 and develops from a first come, first serve basis.

Out-Of-State Visitation Rules:
Out of state visitors are held at different regulations. Only one visit is allowed per week and must be given special permission. You will also need to call to make an official request of visitation.
What Do I Need To Visit An Inmate:
You will need to present a valid form of photo identification during check in. Out-of-state visitors may be asked to provide proof of residency along with photo identification. Be sure to check with the detention staff about forms for proof of residency when scheduling your visit.
What Items Can I Bring To A Prisoner:
Visitors are not permitted to bring any items for prisoners.
Where Are Impound Vehicles Are Stored:
If you believe your vehicle may be impounded check with the information desk at 405-297-1189 or in person on the first floor of the Oklahoma Police Headquarters. You will need to provide a valid driver’s license and title or registration.
