What Do I Need To Visit An Inmate:
Inmates at Midland County Jail are only allowed two (2) visitors per visitation week and all visitors must be on the inamtes authorized visitation list form. Only five (5) names are allowed on an inmates form. If you are not on the inmates list you will not be allowed to visit the inmate.
Each inmate is only allowed a maximum of thirty (30) minutes per visitor and a visitor can only visit once per visiting week.
Keep your children under control when visiting an inmate because if they wander, are left unattended in the lobby, or you leave them unattended outside this could end your visit with the inmate.
When visiting an inmate you are not allowed to take in purses, backpacks, cell phones, or any other items in the visitation area.
You will also need a valid photo identification. The most commonly accepted at this jail are a state driver’s license, state identification card, or alien card.
Also make sure and dress appropriately. If a visitor wishes to argue with an employee’s decision, the shift supervisor will come out and make the final decision. Also if you get upset and begin to use profanities you will be denied visitation so stay calm.
Visitors have to be dressed in a proper manner. If you are not sure what to wear, wear a business casual outfit. The shift supervisor will make the final determination if a visitor disputes an employee’s decision. Visitors using abusive or profane language will be denied visitation
The most important thing to keep in mind, is to remain respectful of the employees here or you will not be allowed to visit your friend or loved one.
