I visited the father of my two sons. I visit for emotional support. I am very disappointed in the staff who register the visitors. I feel that your position as a correctional officer doesn’t mean you have to be rude and unapproachable to the visitors. One female officer made me feel afraid to return. I am an educator and, by all means, I was not being dissident; I was compliant with her instructions…as was everyone else. I was told at first that I was not allowed to visit due to the shirt that I was wearing. I was lent a shirt by a friend. I also read a sign about no one allowed to take cell phones in; however, I saw a young man who before he walked through the metal, placed his cell phone and keys on the table then picked up his belongings and walked into the visiting rooms. This right in front of the same officers.
