When Are Prisoners Arraigned:
Generally, prisoners are arraigned daily between 8AM and 2:30PM.
When Are Visiting Hours:
Visiting hours are Sunday from 8AM- 10AM and Wednesday 7PM- 9PM.
What Do I Need To Visit An Inmate:
In order to visit an inmate, a vistor must pocess a valid photo identification, be 17 years old or accompanied by a parent, and must be on speaking terms with the inmate. Visits are limited to ten minutes a session.
How Is A Prisoner’s Property Released:
Property may be released once the prisoner gives written permission for the release. Authorization of prisoner property is made as an all or nothing release; partial release is not permitted.
What Is The Phone Call Policy:
Prisoners are granted a limited number of free telephone calls upon completion of booking. Prisoners have the opportunity to make collect calls once inside their cell area, but are not allowed incoming phone calls.
Where Impound Vehicles Are Stored:
In order to pick up an impounded vehicle, a release form from the Garland Police Department is required. Impound vehicles are stored at The Garland Auto Pound. You can reach The Garland Auto Pound by telephone at 972-276-7600 or in person at 1630 Commerce St. Garland, TX. Business is open 24 hours per day and fees are to be paid at the impound lot.
Once An Inmate Has Been Released Where Can I Pick Him Up:
Upon being released, an inmate can be picked up at 1900 West State Street Garland, TX. However, most inmates will be transferred to Dallas County Jail.
